The Tomi Standard

Tomi started these tours in 2014 with one car and an obsession with getting the details right. Ten years later, these are still the principles every tour runs on.

Small Groups, Always

Seven guests maximum, every single tour. You get the guide, not a share of one.

Expert Local Guides

Every guide is Panamanian-born, fluent in English, and trained by Tomi personally. History, politics, food — they know it all.

Open-Air Safari Rides

No windows, no air conditioning, no barrier between you and Panama. The way it was supposed to be experienced.

Fully Insured & Licensed

Every vehicle, every driver, every tour. Permitted by IPAT Panama. Your safety is the one thing we never compromise on.

The Fleet

Every car has a name, a history, and a story your guide will tell you. These aren't props — they're the reason people come back.

Meet the full fleet
El Capitán — 1973 cream and tan VW Safari parked on a Panama City cobblestone street
1973 Cream & Tan

El Capitán

Restored over eighteen months, El Capitán was found rusting in a Chiriquí farmyard. She now runs a rebuilt 1600cc engine and original Baja tan canvas. She's done more miles than anyone knows.

La Reina — 1969 sky blue VW Safari beside the Panama Canal
1969 Sky Blue

La Reina

The oldest car in the fleet. La Reina crossed the Darién Gap twice in the 1970s and still carries the dents to prove it. Every scratch has a story.

El Toro — 1976 burnt orange VW Safari on the Amador Causeway
1976 Burnt Orange

El Toro

The newest and the fastest. El Toro has a fully rebuilt suspension and modern disc brakes hidden beneath a body that looks completely stock. He's deceptively capable.
